Standing with Nepalese whānau far from home witnessing flood devastation

The Everest Nepalese Student Club brought together close to sixty staff and students at Mt Albert Campus to support flood relief. MIT and Unitec International Support teams have reached out to 137 international ākonga from Nepal at Mt Albert and Waitākere campuses, as well as fourteen based at Manukau, Ōtara and Tech Park, to offer their support.Latest news14 September 2026
Te reo Māori comes alive across our campuses this week
In brief:
Te Wiki o te Reo Māori is being celebrated across the motu this week from 14-21 September with activations planned across our Owairaka/Mt Albert, Waitākere and Ōtara campuses. This year’s “Te Reo Towns” focus celebrates communities keeping te reo Māori alive and encourages its everyday use in workplaces, schools, marae, whānau and communities. From tukutuku weaving and waiata to artmaking, games and fried bread making, kaimahi ‘staff’ and ākonga ‘learners’ are being encouraged to come together, learn and give te reo a go.Latest news15 September 2026
