2024 ITP Rangahau and Research Symposium
Welcome to the 2024 ITP Rangahau and Research Symposium! This event highlights the wide range of research conducted by our staff and postgraduate students within the vocational sector. Join us to explore and celebrate their innovative work.
The 2024 ITP Rangahau and Research Symposium will be held 2-6 December in Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland; Ōtautahi | Christchurch; and Wānanga Ipurangi | Online. The Pacific Research Stream will be on December 2, with overflow and Pacific Undergraduate presentations December 3rd.
About the Symposium
The purpose of the 2024 ITP Rangahau and Research Symposium is to showcase the diversity of research undertaken by staff and postgraduate students across the vocational sector. All research disciplines and methodologies of inquiry are welcome, including (but not limited to) applied and technological research, rangahau Māori, creative practice, and pedagogical research.
The Symposium will encompass several events across the week including:
- An in-person symposium event hosted by Unitec and MIT at their Wairaka | Mt Albert campus (2 December)
- A virtual symposium event held online (4 December)
- A Pacific Research Stream (2&3December)
- An in-person symposium event, OPSITARA 2024, hosted by Otago Polytechnic, Southern Institute of Technology, and Ara Institute of Canterbury at Ara’s Christchurch campus (5-6 December)
- Several online keynote and workshop events (2-6 December)
Please submit your abstract for either the in-person and/or via ITP Research Symposium 2024 official page. The deadline for abstract submissions is Monday, 9 September.
Registration is free. Registrations for in-person attendance open on Monday, 9 September, and close on Friday, 8 November.
