Unitec strengthens ties with Hebei Province
A recent visit by key executives from Hebei Bureau of Education and key local universities in Hebei Province in China has strengthened Unitec’s relationship with the region.
The delegation was led by a senior representative from the Hebei Bureau of Education.
A new partnership was established with Hebei Vocational University of Industry and Technology, a leading vocational education provider in Hebei Province. The visitors from the Hebei organisations were welcomed to Unitec with a pōwhiri at Te Noho Kotihitanga marae, and addresses from Gus Gilmore, Chief Executive of Te Pūkenga and Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga, executive director Rohe 1
They were then given a tour of the School of Computing, Electrical and Applied Technology by Head of School, Susan Bennett.
“We value our ongoing partnership with Hebei Province and appreciate the opportunity to deepen our collaboration further,” says Ms Bennett. “Our continued engagement is a testament to the strength of our relationship and we’re excited about the new opportunities it will bring for our international ākonga and industry partners."
