This course provides students with an advanced study of the theoretical basis of community development. Emphasis is placed on the critical exploration of the theoretical frameworks which form the basis for community development practice. The course focuses on theoretical explanations, an examination of models of facilitation, and an evaluation of the relationship between current issues in theory, research and practice.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites:
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Social Practice programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisites: CSTU6914 and CSTU6990.
