Explore the development of Pasifika communities and culture-specific approaches to safe social practice in urban Aotearoa;
Afford Pasifika students with a learning opportunity to validate their lived experience and insider knowledge as Pasifika Peoples in Aotearoa within models of social practice suited for working with Pasifika communities;
Provide students with a learning opportunity to understand Pasifika approaches to social practice. Understanding will enable students to negotiate a mutually beneficial relationship of partnership and collaboration with Pasifika Peoples, particularly when working with Pasifika communities.
