Unitec Information & Enrolment Day 2025 draw

1. Definitions
Competition: means the draw from Eligible Participants who entered the competition to win the Prize.
Disqualified Participants: This means Unitec employees.  
Eligible Participants: any person who visits the Māori or Pacific booth at the Unitec Information and Enrolment Day at Mt. Albert campus on Wednesday, 29 January 2025, or at Waitākere campus on Thursday, 30 January 2025 and enters the draw by completing and submitting an entry form at the Māori or Pacific booth. Eligible participants must  also meet all other criteria outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
Prize: means a prize pack including: 1 x Unitec Hoodie, 1 x $100 Warehouse Stationery Voucher, 1 x JBL Wave Flex Open-fit True Wireless Earbuds. There are two prize packs to be drawn.
Unitec: means Unitec, a business division of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology.

2. Entry
2.1. Entry into the Competition is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2.2.Eligible Participants are automatically entered into the Competition.
2.3. Entry into the Competition is limited to 1 entry per person.
2.4. No purchase is necessary to win or participate in the Competition.
2.5. Disqualified Participants must not enter into the Competition.
2.6. Unitec reserves the right to exclude anyone from participating in the Competition on reasonable grounds.
2.7. Unitec reserves the right to refuse to award the Prize to an Eligible Participant who Unitec decides (in its sole discretion) has violated these terms and conditions, gained unfair advantage in participating in the Competition, or won using fraudulent means.
2.8. All Eligible Participant’s personal details must be valid and current. Unitec will hold all personal information provided at entry in accordance with Unitec’s privacy policy, and they may be used for competition, future promotion, and marketing purposes per Unitec’s privacy policy. Participants have the right to request access to and correction of their personal information.
 
3. Winning the Prize
3.1. Only Eligible Participants can be awarded the Prize (Winner).
3.2. The Winner(s) of the prize will be drawn randomly from all valid entries received by 2.00pm on Wednesday, 29 January 2025 at the Unitec Mt. Albert campus and by 2pm on Thursday, 30 January 2025 at the Unitec Waitākere campus. Only one prize will be drawn each day, and entrants will not win more than one prize. 
3.3. The determination by Unitec of the Winner will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.4. The Winner will be notified via email or phone. In the event that initial attempts to contact the Winner are unsuccessful (e.g., failure to respond to messages after three attempts), the judge reserves the right to select an alternate Winner. Should the Prize not be claimed within one month of announcement, it will be considered forfeited. 
3.5. Unitec shall have the right to assess the validity of any entry into the Competition. In the event that Unitec is not satisfied that the winner meets all the requirements of these terms and conditions, Unitec reserves the right at its sole discretion to redraw the winner immediately.
3.6 The Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No other family members, friends, office associates, or anyone else can collect on the Winner’s behalf. In the event that the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason Unitec may substitute a prize of like or equal value.
3.7. Where the Winner is required to claim the Prize in person, they must provide valid and proper identification (e.g. driver’s licence, passport, birth certificate). If the Winner is under the age of 18 years, their parent or legal guardian must accompany the Winner or give their prior written consent to the award of the Prize.

4. Unitec Responsibility
4.1. Unitec reserves the right to amend, vary, extend or discontinue the Competition at any stage, for any reason.  
4.2. Unitec takes no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude the Competition due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, force majeure or otherwise.
4.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unitec will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of Competition entry or winning the Prize.
