Aim: 
To enable students to explore the whakapapa, social and artistic/aesthetic contexts of contemporary dance in Aotearoa New Zealand. There is a focus on the role these play in constructing or reflecting national and/or cultural identity. This course engages theoretical and practice based examples in a studio setting.
