In this course, students will evaluate and consider the debate around the nature of the influence of information technology upon the development of new legal doctrine, moving on to consider, both how the law has responded to the challenges of information technologies, and the extent to which legal issues have shaped the development of information society policy. Students will analyse local and international laws regarding issues around cyber security as well as short and long term impact.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites:
Students must be admitted to the Master of Applied Technologies programme or the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Technologies programme or the Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Technologies programme to enrol in this course.
