Unitec Campus Notice Boards Guidelines

To ensure that our campus notice boards are used appropriately, we ask that people follow our guidelines. We encourage advertisements from our Unitec students and staff but reserve the right to remove any advertisements that violate our guidelines.

Creating your advertisement

  • The advertisement should be no larger than A3 in size, preferably in portrait orientation. Some notice boards are in-demand and if you use an A4 size for your advertisement it will ensure maximum use of the spaces.

  • All advertisements must be relevant to our student audience - delivering benefits or relevant information.

  • A validity date needs to be placed to indicate when it should be taken down and should not be more than a one-month duration, any advertisements that are specific to a date that has past will be removed immediately.

Getting your advertisement approved

  • Submit your advertisement to the Ask Me desk for the Mt. Albert campus or at Student Central for the Waitākere campus. (Please do not print final quantities until approval is provided).

  • Once approved by the Ask Me Team, there will be an approval stamp placed on the physical advertisement. Also please provide us with an extra copy with the following details on the back:

    -Name
    -Student/staff ID number
    -Contact number
    -Email address

  • Advertisement that has additional languages to English may take longer to be approved.

  • Please remember that approval of the advertisement is subject to the Ask Me Team's discretion, if any materials are deemed offensive, in poor taste, derogatory, containing illegal, sexual, racist, anti-LGBTO bias, or are objectionable this will NOT be approved.

Installing your advertisement

  • Installation of approved advertisements must be appropriate to the surface. Only Blu-tak, Staples and Push Pins are permitted and should be used where appropriate.

  • All approved advertisements must be attached to designated noticeboard areas – any advertisements that are placed on walls, pillars, windows doors, bathrooms, or any unauthorised areas/notice boards will be taken down immediately.

  • Users agree not to cover or tamper with other advertisements already in place.

  • No advertisement shall be allowed to be installed without the approval stamp.
