Rodger Gibb

Rodger came to Unitec in 2004 with 16 years' experience in AutoCAD and 20 years experience in manual and computer design Civil and Structural Drawing. He has worked in design consultant offices in Auckland on Civil Engineering projects on Autocad and 3d packages. In the 1980's he worked on major "think big" engineering projects in New Zealand like the Clyde Dam and Waitaki irrigation scheme. He also worked in London design offices designing and drawing Bridges and Civil sewage schemes for Saudia Arabia and Libya.
Rodger taught part-time at Unitec for one year in 2004 and also taught Autodesk AutoCAD night classes Stage 1 & 2 that year. Rodger joined the permanent full-time staff in January 2005, and has gained a teaching certificate from the School of Education at Unitec.
In 2006 and 2007 Rodger was voted by the students as runner up Lecturer of the Year in the School of the Built Environment.
