Pauline came to Unitec from the University of Auckland, where she lectured in the Bachelor of Teaching, Early Childhood programme for 18 months. She has had 20 years' experience in the early childhood field including Kindergarten, Childcare, Playcentre and Playgroup. She completed an MA in Education and Psychology. Her thesis focused on 'Quality in Early Childhood Education'. She brings particular skills in Music and Movement, Outdoor Education, Storytelling and Science. Pauline is interested in gender issues, optimizing brain function and special education. She is currently developing a proposal for her PhD focusing on 'Successful Teaching Teams in Early Childhood'. Pauline is passionate about capturing the teaching moment. She is concerned about diversity and how it is valued. Pauline views herself as a change agent.Publications
