How to apply
The main application form to apply at Unitec is https://enrol.unitec.ac.nz/#/apply/welcome - if you cannot find a course or programme in the main application form, the reason may be listed below.
Programme or semester full
The semester or programme may be full, and applications have closed.
Check programme name
The programme you are looking for may be listed under a different name. Please check the name by going to the study page and searching for your programme. When you get to the correct programme page, click on the ‘Apply Now’ button and the application form will remember the programme name for you.
Applying for single course from a programme
If you are wanting to take a single course that is part of a Unitec programme, you may need to apply via a Certificate of Proficiency (COP). Learn how to apply for a COP.
Short course
If you want to apply for a short course, you may need to apply via an alternative application form. Go to the short course page to find the correct application form.
Summer school
We usually publish a list of summer school courses on the website some time in semester 2 each year.
If you are a returning student wanting to do summer school courses, please re-enrol online via Student Self Service in your Student Portal.
If you are applying for a Certificate of Proficiency beng held during summer school, please choose the semester prior to the summer school (second semester) when submitting the application and then contact us via phone 0800 10 95 10 or email. In your query, please state that you have put in an application online for semester 2 but it is actually for summer school. Please remember to quote your application ID number which can be found on the top of your application form.
